The Appeal of Rooms with Open-Air Baths
You want to enjoy a special onsen trip, but you're not a fan of the atmosphere of a grand public bath. You find large baths somewhat hard to use. You want to spend bath time with your significant other without worrying about others. A guest room with a private open-air bath is what makes these wishes come true.
Not only is your privacy completely assured, but the ability to take a bath anytime you like is another major appeal. Hakone has many inns with unique rooms featuring open-air baths, so you can choose one that perfectly suits your preferences.

Where a Relaxing, Healing Time Flows

After changing into a yukata of your choice, you can enjoy unlimited onsen soaking right in your room. Room types are either Japanese-Western or Western style, each a healing space equipped with comfortably sized beds. The baths in the Japanese-Western rooms have an open atmosphere while still being well-screened for privacy, allowing you to enjoy the view through the slits. The open-air bath, made of Japanese cypress, enhances the feeling of being away from the everyday.
