[Important Notice] Suspension of Hakone Ropeway for some sections due to regular inspection

Hakone Ropeway will be suspended for some sections due to inspection work, and there will be replacement buses. Please check below for the details.

• Suspended sections and Period

1.  Suspended sections

[Between Sounzan Station and Owakudani Station]

Suspension period:

• From Monday, December 8, to Friday, December 19, 2025
• From Tuesday, January 13, to Friday, January 30, 2026

 

2.Suspended sections

[Between Owakudani Station, Ubako Station, and Togendai Station]

Suspension period:

From Saturday, January 31, to Friday, February 20, 2026

 

• About the replacement bus

⑴ Travel time
– Sounzan Station to Owakudani Station (approximately 10 minutes one way)
– Owakudani Station to Ubako Station to Togendai Station (approximately 15 minutes one way)
*The bus service will be operated every 15 minutes.

(2) Operating hours
– Operates according to the operating hours of the Hakone Ropeway.

(3) Other
– Please note that replacement buses when accessing Owakudani will be very crowded.
– Passengers who have Hakone Ropeway tickets such as Hakone Freepass, Hakone Kamakura Pass, Fuji Hakone Pass and other tickets can use the replacement buses.
