Cherry Blossoms of Miyagino

Along the Hayakawa River in the Miyagino area, a beautiful row of about 120 Somei‑Yoshino cherry trees stretches for approximately 600 meters, creating a soft pink tunnel in full bloom. With the gentle sound of the flowing river and the refreshing spring breeze, it is one of Hakone’s most beloved cherry‑blossom viewing spots where visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll.

Nearby, along National Route 138, around 40 graceful weeping cherry trees add vibrant color to the landscape, offering a lovely contrast to the pale pink of the Somei‑Yoshino. The blossoms typically reach their peak from late March to mid‑April, allowing visitors to appreciate both types of cherry trees when the timing is right.

In the evenings, the cherry trees are illuminated, transforming the riverside into a magical scene. The reflections on the water and the softly lit blossoms create an enchanting atmosphere that captivates everyone who visits.
