Yunessun – A Swimsuit-Friendly Hot Spring Theme Park

Located in Kowakidani, Hakone, Hakone Kowakien Yunessun features “Yunessun,” a hot spring area where guests can enjoy soaking while wearing swimsuits. With a wide variety of unique indoor and outdoor baths, it is popular with families, groups, and couples alike.
Yunessun is divided into four themed areas. These include the Sea Area, where guests can relax in a large Mediterranean‑inspired spa as well as enjoy unique baths such as wine baths and authentic coffee baths; the River Area, featuring an indoor lazy river; the Mountain Area, where visitors can experience water slides renewed in 2025 along with sauna events; and the Sky Area, home to an open‑air observation bath offering breathtaking views of the Hakone outer rim mountains.
