EARTH VALLEY

Chikyuu no Tani（EARTH VALLEY） is a new observation area located just outside Hakone Ropeway’s Owakudani Station. Opened in April 2025, it lets you feel the dynamic energy of Hakone’s volcanic landscape—steam vents, rugged terrain, and sweeping mountain views.
The site features three unique viewing decks:

Kaze no Wa Terrace – Experience strong mountain winds on a circular open-air terrace.
Ibuki no Deck – A thrilling glass platform extending over the valley with views of rising geothermal steam.
Ozora no Hotori – An open viewpoint offering wide panoramas, including Sagami Bay on clear days.

On the station’s first floor, Valley Marche offers Hakone-themed souvenirs and original desserts and drinks inspired by the landscape—perfect to enjoy outdoors with the dramatic scenery.
Combined with the Hakone Ropeway ride, Chikyuu no Tani provides an accessible and memorable way to experience Owakudani’s powerful natural environment.
