Located on the second floor of Owakudani Station on the Hakone Ropeway, OWAKUDANI KITCHEN is a newly renovated restaurant where visitors can enjoy a memorable dining experience surrounded by the dramatic scenery of Owakudani. Designed around the concept of“experiencing the dynamism of Owakudani through all five senses,” the restaurant features a comfortable, sophisticated interior and panoramic views of the volcanic valley through its expansive windows.
The restaurant’s long-loved signature Owakudani Curry has been renewed while preserving its original flavor. Guests can also choose from a variety of curry dishes, including vegetable curry, cheese-baked curry, and cutlet curry. In addition, the menu now features three hot iron-pot specialties inspired by the powerful landscape of Owakudani, including seafood in tomato sauce, demi-glace hamburger steak, and chicken in cream sauce. Each dish can also be enjoyed risotto-style by adding rice and cheese.
Complementing the main dishes are original desserts and drinks such as Owakudani Mango Pudding and refreshing house-made lassis. With direct access from the ropeway station and breathtaking views of Hakone’s volcanic landscape, OWAKUDANI KITCHEN is an ideal place to relax and savor a unique culinary experience during your visit to Owakudani.
